A complete surround composition
The range covers modern and traditional fireplace surrounds and mantel designs. Identify the side pieces, header, shelf and any decorative profiles individually. Their proportions should be reviewed in relation to the room and the actual firebox opening.
Work from the appliance detail
Provide the appliance model and its installation information with the architectural drawing. The installer and design team must coordinate the clearances, heat-related requirements and the construction behind the surround. The stone design should follow those confirmed constraints.
Approve the surface and joints
Choose the stone sample and finish, then show the visible seams and edge profiles. Natural tonal variation will read differently across a wide mantel and smaller carved pieces. Agree the appearance range for the complete surround rather than selecting the shelf in isolation.
Questions for your project
Can a mantel be made to a custom width?
Custom dimensions can be reviewed from the drawing. Confirm the fireplace opening, desired projection, thickness and support requirements with the project team.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Provide the project location, dimensioned drawings, material and finish preferences, quantities and delivery destination. Identify the approvals and any installation scope required.
