Architectural collection

Stone balustrades.

Coordinate balusters, rails and adjoining piers as a continuous architectural line. Define the spacing and profiles with the project design team.

A coordinated series of components

Limestone, marble and travertine balustrades are included in the architectural portfolio. Provide the complete elevation so the repeated balusters and the terminal pieces are considered together. Changes in direction and stepped sections need their own details.

Make the railing requirements explicit

The project team must determine the applicable height, spacing, loading and attachment requirements. A decorative stone layout is not a substitute for that review. Share the approved geometry and support intentions when requesting the production scope.

Develop the profiles

Dimension the baluster, top rail, lower rail and pier interfaces. Mark permitted joints and exposed surfaces. Agree material appearance and finish across the components to maintain a coherent visual range.

Questions for your project

Can the balustrade follow a curved layout?

Provide a dimensioned plan, radius and component details. Curved layouts require a fabrication review before piece geometry and supply scope can be confirmed.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Provide the project location, dimensioned drawings, material and finish preferences, quantities and delivery destination. Identify the approvals and any installation scope required.
